About Abiel

Born in Asmara, Eritrea and raised in the Bay Area, I am a passionate storyteller and seasoned brand marketing professional with a foundation in global economics. With a deep love for narrative and culture, I began my career at Lionsgate STARZ as an International Content Coordinator, where I gained hands on experience supporting international partners and tailoring content for diverse audiences. That foundation has carried into my current role at FX Networks, a part of The Walt Disney Company, where I serve as a liaison between the FX brand and global markets; marketing our shows internationally, adapting campaigns to regional needs, and ensuring our content resonates across cultures.

My work spans acclaimed scripted dramas, comedies, and documentaries; including Shōgun, The Bear, Snowfall, Reservation Dogs, Welcome to Wrexham, Dear Mama, What We Do in the Shadows, and more, reflecting the range of stories I help bring to audiences worldwide.

Before entering the entertainment industry, I began my career as an independent writer and director in the Bay Area, producing my debut film Balance. I followed that with my pilot episode The Embrace, which premiered in both Los Angeles and Oakland, California, earning high acclaim for its impactful storytelling.

As a proud Eritrean, I use my platform and creative work to amplify diverse voices. Across every role I’ve held, I remain deeply committed to prioritizing representation, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes.
